Exodus 3:1-5

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space from the seemingly mundaneness of the day. We are on the mountainside, unaware that we are so close to you. But you are here and call us to come close. You reveal the holiness of this place and command us to remove our shoes out of respect. You call us to consider the sacredness of this time and place.

We hear you call us by name, and it is a delight to our ears. With joyful hearts we say, “speak LORD, we are listening.” Thank you, our time with you is holy and we do not take it for granted.

I remove my shoes in your presence today, O Yahweh, and thank you for…

Not just our shoes, but we remove all our homemade medals and devices in your presence. We walk our path as you made us, with nothing to come between us. You prepare us to receive your promise. We will remember this place, this time, and the promises you reveal to us. We mark this place with a faith-marker and will return here to worship you.

With joy we praise you!
