John 5:19-29

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space to listen to your voice and hear your word. You tell us that you are Creator, Redeemer, and Spirit; three-in-one, you reign over all creation. We believe you do not reign with fear and terror as your tools, but with mercy, love, and compassion. Judgement and correction do not feel harsh to us when they come from you. Only if we resist, do your hands feel hard against us.

Thank you, Abba Father, for always being at work and always thinking of us. Thank you for revealing to us the deep intimacy you have with your son, so we can model the same intimacy. Thank you for sharing your word so we can hear, believe, and obey.

I soften myself to your voice and teachings today, O LORD, and thank you for…

Grant us your understanding, so we will hear your word, listen, and obey your teachings. Soften our hearts. Make us like pliable clay on your potter’s wheel. Deal with us ever-so-gently. Shape us into your perfect creations.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
