Luke 20:45-21:4

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space to give ourselves to you. We have walked paths of the wealthy and done things for show. Yet when you call us to  give out of our abundance, we harden our hearts and withhold ourselves and our possessions. We protect our possessions by withholding them from others in need. We protect ourselves by finding tasks and excuses that keep us from serving. We hear your warnings to not withhold like this and we desire to do better.

Gracious Divine Family, thank you for this holy sacred time with you. All we are, all we have is because of you. Thank you for paying attention to us and honouring us, especially when no else does. We empty ourselves out to you, so we can receive your mercy, love, and truth. Thank you for providing for all of our needs.

I seek your strength to give freely out of my abundance today, Mighty God, and thank you for…

Forgive us for withholding ourselves and our possessions from you and others. Give us your discernment, understanding, and strength to give freely and joyfully. We remember to remember that all we have is given abundantly to us by you. We will give out of our abundance.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
