We enter your sacred prayer space drawing near to you and your peaceful reassurance. We want to belong to your community, and also want to find our purpose. But what do we have to offer? Do we have the salt you are looking for? Do we have what it takes to shine your light so others see and glorify you? As we feel you draw near to us, we feel your peace and hear you whisper: “Yes, child!” Your light shines across the landscape of our lives to reveal vast fields yet to be harvested and a hill reserved for us.

Guide us in your ways of peace. We are your servants, caretakers of your creation. Groom and sustain us in your mercy as we grow together in your vineyard, so our good fruit will be a blessing for generations to come.

Yahweh, your steadfast love never ceases. Your ways are not a burden or a curse, but rather lead to life, blessing, and relationships. You know us and love us. In return, we love you and choose to follow you and your instructions for life.

We enter your sacred prayer space, shy and vulnerable. Where can we go to hide from you? You know everything about us; yet you do not turn us away. We need your healing; we need your restoration. For the sake of our families, communities, and generations to come, heal us. Bless us so we will be a blessing to others. Bless us, so the good work you began in us will be complete.

Thank you for your guidance and protection, O Yahweh. Even before we knew we were with you, you were watching over us. You already knew us and our stories. Bless us with your compassion, grace, and mercy as we journey with you on your Sacred Path and greet each other in a good way.

Gracious, loving LORD, here we are at the crossroads. You are inviting us to let go of the past, death, sickness, abuse, and pain, to allow ourselves to be found by you, to be known by you, and to be loved by you. Thank you for your loving kindness and providing relationship with you and your blessed community.

We enter your sacred prayer space with longings in our soul. We hear voices of our soul’s longing when we wake in the night. We hear them during the quiet times in the day. We hear them now, as the voices cry to Life-giving Spirit. Thank you for creating this space of such deep intimacy, where the veil is so thin between our souls and Life-giving Spirit, that we can participate freely in your mystery.

Be with us each step of this journey, O Yahweh, for we are weak and frail in our humanness. You are our light; illumine and guide us. You are our shield; overshadow us. Christ under us; Christ over us; Christ beside us, on our left and our right. Be within and without us, all-powerful.
