Today, we invite you to reread, rest and reflect on the prayers of the past week.

Psalm 14
2 Samuel 10:13-19
John 4:31-38

Fill us with your peace, so we will pause, reflect, and discover your kindness, gentleness, humility, compassion, and patience. Fill us to overflowing, so we will be a blessing to you, ourselves, and others.

Loving God, we ask you to fill us with your loving knowledge and wisdom so we may live out who you created us to be. May we be strengthened by your love and bring you honour and glory. Thank you for delivering us from the dominion of darkness. We delight in you.

We enter your sacred prayer space, considering ourselves as sinners and tax collectors; we are surely lost sheep to you. But you invite us in, rejoicing that you have found us, for we have come home to you. In our communities, we tell the stories of our journeys. You share how you have always been watching us.

We choose to worship you, LORD. You have placed us in high regard and given us good reputations. You have not withheld your inheritance from us, even knowing our hearts. We will sing of your love.

We come to spend time with you, LORD. Hear our prayer. Who are we, that you are mindful of us? We are your beloved creation. It is not us, but you. Thank you, loving God, for revealing your promises to us. Thank you for fulfilling your promises to us. Glory to you.

You call us to come away and rest with you. You invite us into your sacred prayer space to find solitude with you. Our responsibilities follow us, and they are waiting for us when we take our eyes off of you. But you tell us that our first responsibility is to rest with you, so you can prepare us for all that is to come.

Place us among your chosen children and heirs. Let your promises be known, that you will remain with us and the generations to come, from this time forth, and forever. We will teach our children to listen to your commands and place their trust in you.

Yahweh and Creator, thank you for your loving mercy and grace. We have wronged ourselves, you, and your creation. You patiently forgive us; draw us to you.
