Second Week of the Season of Easter, Friday, April 12, 2024

1 John 2:26-28

Loving Divine Family,

We once again enter your sacred prayer space to hear your voice and listen to your stories. You anoint us, cleansing us from the road-dust of this week’s journey. Your voice is soothing; your touch is gentle. Life-giving Spirit presses her lips to our ears and whispers words of love.

Loving Yahweh, thank you for encouraging us to continue to honour our vows to you and our relationship with you. Thank you that you enjoy our relationship and prayer time with you. Thank you for the guides who reveal your love and encourage us to follow you.

I hear your words of love for me today, Loving LORD, and thank you for…

Give us confidence, so we will believe without seeing. Give us courage to worship you before all the nations. Give us faith to keep our eyes on you. Be our Great Conductor, so we will play beautiful music with you.

With joy we praise you!

We enter your sacred prayer space, feeling so close to our goals. Just days ago, we were alive with the excitement of your entry into Jerusalem. Now, at midweek, we feel weary. You encourage us to stay our course, to keep our eyes on you. We feel Life-giving Spirit embracing us; her breath is a sweet kiss on our bodies as you refresh and wash the dirt of travelling wilderness roads from us.
