“Acts 8:9-25 (Easy to Read Version)” by Connie Beingessner.

Acts 8:9-25

Loving Divine Family,

We gather in all corners of your safe pastures. We have travelled from the four directions, bringing with us stories of your marvellous ways. We give thanks as we marvel together. Though we consider our gifts in high regard, nothing compares to your miracles and blessings.

We long to know you and have a relationship with you. Thank you for the heavenly cloud of witnesses and our ancestors who are cheering us on to follow you instead of imposters. Thank you for our ancestors who have prepared the way for us. Open our ears, so we can hear your voice and obey you.

I am amazed by your miracles today, Mighty God, and thank you for…

Wash over us, Cleansing Spirit. Breathe on us, breath of God. Fill us with your living Spirit, so in days of war, famine, and calamity, we will fear nothing and see nothing but your presence with us. Renew, restore, and reassure us that you are our Protecting Shepherd, now and forever.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
