John 13:1-17, 31b-35

Loving Divine Family,

We gather in the Upper Room with you. In this sacred space, you reveal your true nature and your teachings to us. We feel the steep incline of the path, so close to the finish line. You pour your love around and into us once again. You invite us to do as you do, faithfully receive your love, and follow you.

Loving Yahweh, thank you for sharing your prayer space with us. Thank you for Mary’s act of love, washing Jesus’ feet with tears and perfume in preparation for his death.  Thank you for Jesus’ act of love, washing the disciples’ feet that prepared them for their upcoming life. Thank you for cleansing us with water of life, which is love. We pray others will know we are your disciples because of our love for you, ourselves, and others.

I receive your cleansing today, Loving LORD, and thank you for…

We follow you into the dimming garden light of the waning moon. We join you in our humanness in this holy space. Bid us to stay with you; never leave us. Lead us in your everlasting ways.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
