Lectionary Readings for Today:
Exodus 20:1-21
Psalm 33:12-22
Matthew 5:1-12
Your robe clothes our nakedness and restores us. We find rest in your presence. Your robe is your grace and peace. Your robe is all we need. You receive us as we are. We shall journey together in a good way as your beloved children, and enter your eternal courts with songs of praise and singing. We will forever be in your presence, in the presence of your throne of grace.
“God of wonders, beyond our galaxy, you are holy, holy.” (“God of Wonders”, Steve J. Hindalong & Marc Byrd). We, your people, are your glory. May we be a light and be a conduit for others to see you and your magnificence
We remain in this holy space together at the foot of your throne. We long to be in your presence, singing songs of worship, praise, and prayer. We will encourage each other to remain close to you, so we will journey together in a good way.
We give thanks for your Elders, Water-carriers, and Knowledge-keepers within our community, who hear your voice and intercede for us. Thank you for your kindness and mercy, and for sparing us from your wrath. Your love endures us. We will shout your praises forever!
Holy, Holy, Holy, LORD our God, we praise you. Thank you for forgiving our sins. Thank you for hearing and answering our prayers. You lead and guide us in ways that are best for us. We love you.
We enter your sacred prayer space carrying the burdens of fear, illness, and doubt. We feel deserted by our household gods. They cannot help us. You meet us here; you draw near and embrace us. We hear your voice and feel Life-giving Spirit’s comfort and assurance. We hear you praying for us, and we are calm.
Today, we invite you to reread, rest and reflect on the prayers of the past week.
Lectionary Readings for Today:
2 Kings 2:13-15
Psalm 93
John 8:21-30
Oh LORD, our God, we praise you. Thank you for your great mercy that gives us life. You shower us with great compassion, expressing your kindness to us through Jesus Christ.
We enter your sacred prayer space, marvelling at your mystery. You have shown us the ultimate transition from life as we know it, to life as you know it. You call us to participate in your mystery too, not as bystanders, but as workers with you. We hold now to your promise that you will always be with us.
